Qualified in Medicine at the University of Bristol Medical School in 2001 with combined BSc Honours in Cellular and Molecular Pathology.
Completed Basic Surgical Training at University Hospitals Bristol.
Higher Specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic Training on the Bristol Programme (Severn Deanery).
Fellowship Training with Dr Mervyn Cross and Dr David Wood at the internationally renowned North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, Australia. Developed specialist interest in lower limb surgery including management of injuries in elite sports persons.
Specialist research includes ACL injuries,and currently researching joint preserving knee surgery working towards an MD thesis.
