Recent investment in new equipment and computer systems means
that the Winfield diagnostic service is of the highest standard.
The department is managed by experienced clinical staff and
assistants and fully supported by 11 Consultant Radiologists.

MRI / CT Imaging Services
MRI and CT services are managed by Ramsay Diagnostics UK and
appointments are available on a regular basis. The company has
recently installed the first 64-slice CT scanner in a mobile unit
in the world. This provides high definition, fast imaging and an
extended range of CT imaging services including:-
- CT (64 Multislice)
- CT Angiography
- CT KUB
- General CT
- MRI (1.5 Tessla)
- MRI MRCP
Appointments
For general Radiography such as chest and limbs, appointments
can be offered as early as the day of referral. Reports are usually
provided within 48 hours. For other procedures, depending on the
speciality, an appointment will be offered within five days and
reports sent to the GP.
Pathology
A Phlebotomy and pathology service is available routinely for
all patients via the Outpatient Department. The service is provided
by the local NHS Trust.
